Your First Visit

Here is an overview of how your first visit will unfold:

Upon arrival, you will complete a questionnaire so that we can obtain your contact information as well as an overview of your health condition. During this time, our staff will prepare your file. Approximately 15 minutes after your scheduled arrival time, your chiropractor will meet with you and begin your examination.

Except in exceptional circumstances, there is no waiting time at our clinic.

Your examination will last about 30 minutes. Your chiropractor will ask you several questions and examine your posture and spine. They will also carry out all examinations necessary to diagnose your health concerns, as well as assess your overall health.

Most of the time, your chiropractor will take X-rays. If you have recent imaging in your possession (CD-ROM, USB drive, or the radiologist’s report), please bring it with you—we can likely use it. If the images are located at another clinic, we will take care of the steps needed to obtain them. With your authorization, your chiropractor may also access your X-rays and other relevant medical imaging through the Québec Health Record (DSQ).

Only if your chiropractor deems it appropriate for your health will you receive treatment (“adjustment”) during your first visit. In most cases, however, your chiropractor will take the time to thoroughly review the X-rays and prepare your file before explaining the results and proceeding with your first adjustment.

The fees for your examination and X-rays, if applicable, range from $60 to $165. Treatments (adjustments) range from $60 to $65.
